Kikyo? The Shikon Jewel? Inuyasha?

((Can I just say that Inuyasha is in the room?))

Kagome sat in a small wooden hut like house. She looked around, nervously. This was all too weird. Demons, Powerful and Sacred Jewels, Old timey villages? Where WAS Kagome? She knew she wasn't in her own time. She knew that this place was Tokyo...but....from a long time ago. A VERY long time ago...
Kaede had strung the Shikon Jewel on a thin peice of string and it was now dangling around Kagome's neck.

Kagome....I suppose you are wondering who this Kikyo is and what The Shikon Jewel is? Kaede started. It was clear that she was about to start a long speech.....
The jewel that you wear around your neck is know as The Shikon Jewel or The Jewel Of Four Souls. It holds great power and will make any demon that posesses it, more powerful than you could ever imagine and that is why Inuyasha is after it. The Jewel was in Kikyo's custody until she was killed, 50 years ago. Kikyo was Inuyasha's lover until she pinned Inuyasha to a tree with a magic arrow and then died a tragic death. The Shikon Jewel was to be burned with Kikyo's body.....We believe that you are the reincarnation of Kikyo, considering that you are almost her twin, and that is why The Sacred Jewel was embedded in your body... Inuyasha was supposed to be pinned to the tree for all enternity but...as you can see...someone has pulled the arrow from Inuyasha's chest and he is now back... Kaede watched the expression on Kagome's face at hearing this news. It must be an aweful lot for her to take in so suddenly.

Kagome sat on her knees and stared blankly at Kaede. 'So that's why everyone keeps calling me Kikyo? Well...Whoever she is, I'm not her!' She thought as she reached her hand up and touched the jewel around her neck. She then turned to Inuyasha. He must have been hurt by what had happened 50 years ago. She suddenly remembered seeing Inuyasha pinned to the tree. She started to remember everything from that one time she had fallen into the well!
Oh! I remember now! You were that boy that was pinned to the tree...I set you free! She said, looking him up and down. He was so cold...but...he must not be ALL bad...

bic: Inuyasha looked at her in the eye. He faintly remembered as well, but it really wasn't all too hard for him to put it back into memory. Once then, he looked back at her...The image flashing back and forth in his mind~It was her. Well, through the col-heartedness, there wasn't much else he could say. Yes, he had been so cruel to her, though she was the one to set him free. True, he wouldn't be where he was, or is at the moment without her help. He wanted to just mutter, under his breathe, a 'you', yet he didn't do so. All he did was look at her, in the eyes, recollecting that time. His pupils constricted, unwavering. His soul deep inside--If you could see past it--Had a possibility of being good, yet he hid it so well...
Once he had gathered his thoughts, he managed to speak. He wasn't as truly hurt as she WOULD have been, but he acted like it. I believe I remember you, He said, making a movement to return to a comfortable position. He showed little emotion, as if trying to seem anymore mature since she was a tad noticbely younger. He awaited any response, turning away from Kaede, his head moving slightly. The cabin dripped of nothing, and it seemed relativly clear. There wasn't anything recognizable in the village to him, basically at this point.

ooc: Sorry mine aren't as long, but remember, I'm only playing one character ;D

OOC: It's okay! I LOVE your posts!! They use big, discriptive words that I couldn never think of!!!

Kagome nodded. She did, indeed, remember Inuyasha clearly now. He had been only been asleep when she pulled the arrow out. She had thought he was dead and had left. Now....she felt a bit...happy....that he was alive.....
She couldn't think of anything to say to him. She felt akward around him...a weird feeling since she had never felt it before. She stood up and lowered her eyes to Kaede.
I think I'm going to go outside for awhile... She said and pushed open the door.
The bright sunlight blinded her as she walked, swiftly, over to a nearby tree and sat down in it's shade, crossing her legs and leaning against the tree. The wind hummed gently in her ears and she could hear the birds singing their evening song. Kagome was one that could enjoy these things while others from her time enjoyed going to clubs and partying. She let the breeze tossle her long jet black hair as she stared down at the sparkling lake in front of her. She thought about Inuyasha...the poor boy...The one he loved pinned him to a tree for 50 years! It was only natural that a girl like Kagome take pity on him.

eh...should I change my pic now? If Inuyasha comes out and talks with Kagome then I guess that pretty much considers them friends...i guess.....

ooc: Yeah I agree ^o^ Do you still want to go through with the talking thing? Or do you want them to change the sigs/pics so they are now a team ?

OOC: We don't have to play out the talking thing if you don't want to...it's just something to do....we could skip to the breaking of the jewel and then they become a team....okay, it's really getting on my nerves so i'm putting up the pic of them as a team even though they are not a team yet.....Okay, we can start Rping again. OOC: Lol!! Actually, I was thinking that the jewel would get stolen here. Like...That's why I wanted Inuyasha to come out and talk to Kagome cuz right after that, The bird demon was going to come down and swallow the jewel.....Yeesh...I've got everything planned WAAAAAAY ahead of time....I've gotta stop doin' that....meh, I have too much free time!

After the talk, Inuyasha wasn't truly sure the status of the realtionship. She has freed him, he nearly would have killed her, and then they have a talk...Everything was much more serene now, yet he looked at the pale blue sky with no confidence. The jewel now lay in Kagome's position, and he stood there...Was he really meant to be "good", or was that jewel seriously his only fault? Looking up into the sky, next to her, he then saw a sillouhette coming from the sky...He squinted, straining to see what was going on. As soon as it happened, he stepped back, spine to the tree. Kagome, look out! He yelped, just not in that sort of manner.

A rather large bird came by, looking that so of a demon. It held its mighty talons before her, eyes glaring at the jewel. He swooped down, only to grab the jewel by beak, imaging being oh so odd.

Inuyasha's eyes widened. The jewel! No! He began to run, even though the bird was hovering LIGHTLY over, he began to pull at what he could. It continued on, though, content on stealing the jewel back fro keepsake. This WOULD be another chance, even though he would most likely not take it?

The bird continued on. After taking the jewel, its eyes, enflamed in red, cocked the head upwards. It had SWALLOWED the jewel. Content, finally, not knowing what it exactly did, began to fly away. There was nothing they could do now.

Inuyasha began to tremble. WHAT did he just let happen? His guard off for one second, he stood, looking up, and his feet began to shake. Not concerning Kagome's reaction, he stood, frozen at the situation. Nice...The bird swallowed the jewel.

Kagome's eyes widened. The stupid bird had grabbed the jewel right off the string on her neck!! She jumped up and ran to Inuyasha's side. Kagome had another weird feeling that she seemed to be getting lately and she turned around. There, leaning against the tree, was what seemed like an ordinary bow and bucket of arrows. '? Where did those come from?' Kagome thought as she hurried over and picked them up. She threw the arrow holder over her back and held the bow in her hand as she ran back to Inuyasha.
I can get him! She said, touching his shoulder. She knew she had no aim at all, but she knew she was their only chance of getting the Shikon Jewel back.
But I need your help... She added in a distressed voice. She had let the jewel get away.

[Serenity]

And what possibly can I do? He said, beginning to run after the creature. Use your bow and shoot him! He spoke in a high tone. Now! Sure, she was being rushed, but such things needed to be done. He almost took the arrow and shot it for her, yet he held back. Aim--Pull back, and shoot... He said quietly, as if he knew anything about bows and quivers.

In the meanwhile, the bird strived on. He knew nothing of being hit, being a lazy demon bird, satisfied with what he had done. He flapped his wings gallantly and wide in the sky, creating rather large gusts.

Another chance for Kagome to be hero, maybe? Either way...Don't mess this up.. He said quietly, so soft almost to himself, which was unusal. He was though to be heartless, yet still half human-So he just *HOPED* she would make it right.

ooc: I wonder if another ep is on tonight~I need to catch up ^o^

OOC: Lol, Yeah...There's probably a episode on tonight. I can't stay up to watch it tho!!

Kagome looked up at the bird. It was getting too far away! She couldn't catch it now, even if she COULD shoot an arrow in the first place!
Kagome squinted one eye shut and aimed for the demon. She gently pulled back on the bow's string while she held the arrow in place. She let go and hoped for the best.
Kagome stared down at the arrow that was sticking, two feet in front of her, out of the ground. So much for her big moment!
Again, Kagome aimed, Pulled back, and shot. This time the arrow soared through the air but fell short of the bird.
Yes! I got it into the air! She cried in truimph as if it were a game. Hey, Why not feel good about yourself! At least she hadn't TOTALLY missed. She pulled out another arrow and aimed again. She pulled back really hard and the arrow shot into the air. Kagome watched as it cut closer to the bird.'C'mon, Kagome...Don't mess up this time! It's your chance to shine! You've got to get the jewel back' She commanded herself as She bit her lip in antisipation. The arrow peirced the Bird's toe. The toe fell out of the sky and landed on the other side of the lake. She had missed but at least she had gotten it into the air. Kagome had an idea.
Inuyasha! Take me to the other side of the lake! She ordered and ran up to him.

Disappointed in her misses, he grunted and then shrugged, and obvious look on his face. Come on then! He grabbed her hand, and began to run quickly. His rather long feet patted the lush grass as they ran from where the bird was. The toe falling from the sky wasn't his main concern, just getting there. If she had a plan, let her follow through...And he dragged her as fast as he could to the parallel distance, permiter wise.

The bird yelped quietly in pain, but actually enough so one could hear the cry. Not bothering him, too much, though, he continued on his path.

[Kagome]

Kagome tripped and stumbled as she was dragged. She didn't want to be dragged! She assumed that since Inuyasha was a demon and could jump long distances, that he would carry her across the lake so they didn't have to go around and so Kagome didn't have to get wet but Inuyasha was probably to distressed and frantic that that bird had swallowed the jewel that he didn't notice that.
Kagome stopped when they passed the toe. She pulled her hand from Inuyasha. She knew he just wanted to get the bird but Kagome had no chance of killing it at all! She picked up the toe and pulled the broken string from her neck that the Shikon Jewel used to be on and tied the toe to an arrow. Since the jewel made it so that the demon that posessed it would grow back together when injured, Kagome knew that if she tied the toe to the arrow and shot it in the bird's direction, she had a better chance of hitting it since the toe would be pulling the arrow towards the bird. It was worth a try.
Kagome pulled back on the string and arrow and aimed for the bird in the distance. She would kill the bird and get the jewel back if it was the last thing she did...though...she prepferred that it not be. She let go. The arrow whizzed through the air, glowing a slight purple color. It came closer, and closer.....The arrow struck the bird in the back and the bird yelped out in pain. It's eyes turned dead and black and it's wings went limp and it's body ripped to shreds and fell from the sky.
YES! I DID IT! Kagome cried, very proud of herself. She glanced at Inuyasha, just to see the expression on his face when she had killed the bird. She knew that he thought she couldn't do it. But she had!
Kagome turned back to the sky to see The Shikon Jewel.....it was still in the air? What's wrong! The arrow seemed to be stuck on the jewel. Nothing happened. Kagome was confused. Then, a bright and powerful pink haze swallowed up the arrow and jewel and a deafening crack rang out through the village.
'What?' Kagome thought as she shaded her eyes from the sun with her hand. What was happening to the jewel! Suddenly, Light shot everywhere, in every direction. Small shards of light, just shooting everywhere. What had she done.....
'I....broke it....' Kagome thought in awe. She had shattered The Shikon Jewel!! What would she do now? She was supposed to protect the jewel and make sure that no demon got their filthy hands of it and now she had just shattered it into athousand peices! How could this have happened?! Now what.....
