Light slowly melted into the room, soft meliodic songs woke Xyleck from a deep sleep. Though he had not dreamt, he had gotten a good use of the night. He rose from the bed, every muscle flexing in his back and shoulders as he stretched. He rose from the cot, stepping out of the room. The chill of the night still lingered around, sending goose bumps up his bare chest and arms.
His hands grasped the frame on the ground, next to the long dead fire. He picked it up, peeling away the mold. A thick glass pane lay in his palms, clear and perfect, not a scratch or ripple. He smiled at the result...it was unbearably often it turned out with a strand of hair locked inside, or a stone, or dirt cased. Usually it was rippled or blurry, footsteps from a bird or mouse usually imprinted there. He held up the window, a shade of black tinted in, the coal had done nicely to help shade the sun. He slid the glass inside a large slot, sealing the cracks with a special clay he made. He walked back, picking up the second window, the smae great results. Finally he picked up the last of the windows, the seventh one. It had a blond strand of hair locked inside. Memories from the night before flooded him, and he almost lost grip of the glass. He bit his lip, unsure of hw she really felt of him now. He slid the window into place, locking it there with the clay. He started the fire, making three more windows.

Dortujula's eyes opened as Xyleck left the room. Her slit shaped pupils widened and then shrunk as they tried to adjust to the light. She had not forgotten about last night and how Xyleck had offered to let her sleep in his bed. She rose from the bed, the covers already at her feet. She must have kicked them off of her in the few minutes that she had slipped into sleep since moving closer to Xyleck. She set her feet on the floor, her long cat-like toe nails that protruded from her human feet clicked on the floor. She had taken her boots off some time ago.
A few minutes later, Jula appeared in the doorway, her hair disheveled and her face locked in an expression of shyness...akwardness. Her cheeks were a light pink from blushing so much. Her ears twitched as she saw Xyleck making more windows. The ones he had made the night before and turned out great in seeing that they were already in the window. Something caught her attention as she looked at the windows. Something different or that wasn't supposed to be there. She walked over to the window, trying to avoid Xyleck yet it was hard to keep her eyes from him. She stood in front of the window and stared at a strand of blonde hair that had dried inside the glass. She started to smile as she ran her finger over the glass where the strand was. 'Thats....MY hair....' She thought, dropping her hand to her side. I must be shedding... She said quietly as she continued to smile. She turned to him, her cheeks bright red. She smoothed her hair with her hand.

He watched her as he worked with the glass and the mold. A smile widened over his mouth when he saw she noticed the single strand of hair.
You can always be a part of the palace...even after all those in our generation have been gone.
He smiled as she blushed. His cheeks felt warm, but they didn't flush...he wasn't as shy with her as the day before. As he finished the window mold, he stood from the chair. Xyleck grabbed the bow and arrows by the doorway, slinging the quiver over his shoulders.
I will be back. I am going to get food.
He nodded at her, then dissapeared behind the foliage.

She turned back to the window and then back to him. She was just as shy as before, maybe more. Yet she was still the same sassy girl. She now felt, as she looked at him, that she could walk up to him and do anything she wanted to him. If only he'd accept it. She stepped forward just as he stood up. She didn't utter a word as he left. Had she really thought that she was going to walk up to him and say something...do something that showed her feelings?
Jula continued to stare at the place where he had been sitting. She walked forward, very carefully and kneeled next to the drying glass. She pushed her blonde hair behind her ears and leaned over mold and blew the glass. It rippled the surface of it but it settled a second after. She blew lightly on it, urging it to dry. She sat up straight again and looked around for another mold. She found one placed up against a wall. She brought it down in front of her and poured theliquid glass into it. Some got on her fingers, turning them red and burning them. She pulled away letting the mold fall to the ground. The liquid sloshed inside but did not pour over the edge. She wanted to helpXyleck and join in his work. Her burnt fingers began to blister and sting. She ignored the pain as she set the two molds away from the fire to dry. She then started another, and after that, another, until her fingers were so burnt and blistered that they were bleeding. She hardly minded the pain as she lay down in front of the fire and curled her legs, bringing her knees close to her chest. She soon fell asleep, waiting for Xyleck to return.

When he walked in, his chest was splattered with blood. In his hands was a large buck. He had it hoisted up upon his shoulders as he set the weaponry to the side. The elven maiden had not yet come...and so, he figured she had left for another destination. It tinged his heart a bit, but the feline lass was closer to him.
He lat the buck onto a table, taking his knife out, he stuck it into the hide, peeling it off. He looked to the fire, and saw the girl lying there, asleep. He put his knife down, and walked to her, noticing all the glass molds. A worried feeling came into his gut. He hoped that she had made windows before. He placed his wide hand on her slender shoulder, his other hand picking up one of her's. Xyleck looked her palms and fingers over, the worry now was very real...the wounds she recieved were serious...prone to infection. And out in these woods, there were many insects which carry disease. He lat her hand down, going back to wet a clean rag, and poured a special liquid he had harvested from a flower. He wet the rag with water, rubbing in the special solution. He walked back to Jula, picking up her hands, and cleaned them out. the dirt from the floor sticking to the blood.
Xyleck wrapped a clean rag damp with the solution around her hands.
Do not take the rags off yet. Your hands must heal.
He bent to pick up the windows he had made earlier, now dry. He peeled off the molds, and installed them. Xyleck came back to examin her's. They turned out quite well... only one of them had a wrinkle in it. He used it anways. The windows were installed, and the work was finished. There was no need for more glass making...the work was finished.
He walked back to the buck, finshing skinning it, then he took the meat off, occasionally eating a slice of the meat. He cut the horns off, setting them aside. They would make fine forks and spoons, and a few new arrow heads, or knives. The hide would be a good blanket, or a coat...he had yet to decide.

Jula's eyes slowly opened as she felt warm hands touch her. She blinked several times to clear her blurry vision. She saw Xyleck and almost smiled. She kept her composure and let him wrap cloths around her burned and bleeding hands. She knew she'd be alright. She'd had worse burns before and knew how to take care of them. She left the cloths on longer than she wanted just because Xyleck had told her not to take them off. After a few minutes she pulled them off and looked at them. It was severe but not too bad. Not as bad as she had expected. Jula licked her palms and fingertips like a cat would do. She tasted the herbs. They were bitter but she didn't mind.
After awhile of soothing her burned hands she stood up and immediatly noticed that Xyleck had used the windowpanes that she had made. She was flattered. She walked to Xyleck, her heart beginning to pick up pace. She heard the ripping of the buck's skin. Music to her ears. She licked her lips. Jula cut in front of Xyleck, blocking him from his work. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him up against her. She let out a breath. 'What if I've offended him...or...what if he doesn't feel anything for me?' She thought as she contiued to hold him close to her. The buck's blood smeared on the front of her short shirt and onto her bare stomach. She could feel how warm he was beneath his clothes. She didn't want to let go.

His large palms came up, restin on the side of her face. Eyes burned with passion as he looked into her's. His lips quivered as he came close to kiss her. The late afternoon crickets creating a sensual melody. A howl of a wolf echoed in the distance, hooting of an owl seemed to fade, as all he heard was the breath between them, and the cracking fire.
Lips came close together, moments away from touching. He lifted his lips to her forehead, a kiss coming down on her soft skin.
I must protect your innocence.
His voice shook a little, fearing she would turn away from him. Yet he knew he must help her keep her honor, for though a kiss is a kiss...it can lead to more. The passion the felt would become love. And Xyleck knew that it was not yet a time for that...
He backed up from her, cheeks red, the tips of his pointed lobes cherry flushed as well. He stripped the skin from the meat, and carried it outside, feeling her eyes following him. His heart pounded, throbbing with hurt...what if she would leave...turn from him...? His eyes felt like they were pooling at the thought.
Wait! You are Xyleck! You are the black death! The plague of all plagues! You do not feel, you fool! You are steel, a killing machine. Snap out of it you idiot! She is a girl! There is no room in your heart for her![/b]
He frowned. His mind was wrong. His conscience was absolutely wrong! When he finished stretching the hide, he came inside, walking to the meat on the table. His hands gathered the meat into a bowl. He sat on his fur-drenched chair, eyes were downcast...afraid of what look she would send him...afraid she would be angry...or too tempting...

Jula let him go though she wanted to run after them. Her whole face was beet red. As red as the blood the drenched her whole front. They had almost kissed. She would have liked that. He was right, she probably would have lost her innocence if they shared a kiss, Dortujula's first kiss. Anything could have happened in that moment. Anything at all.
She lowered her eyes to the floor and didn't dare look up. The skin on her forehead tingled where he had kissed her. That one didn't count. 'Do I really want this. Now that I've moved forward, things will never be the same again. Either I do something or I have to leave...I'll never see him again'
After standing there silently and thinking about it for awhile she realized that she really didn't care at all. She looked him straight it the eyes, a look of determination frozen across her features. She walked up to him, almost in a run and climbed into his lap, knocking the bowl of meat out of the way. She kissed him harshly but lovingly. Passion for him that she had locked inside was now pouring out through the kiss. She stayed there for a moment, thinking, dazed at what she was doing, then she slowly pulled back but only slightly, just enough to speak in a tiny whisper. I don't care about my innocence

Xy's eyes widened as her lips pressed against his, sealing a toxic kiss. He felt like he was lost in it, like he was falling down a deep hole. When she pulled back, his eyes opened again, he took in a much needed breath. His hand came up, resting on her shoulder. He wanted to pull her back in for another kiss, he wanted to get lost in it once more. He stood, pulling her up to a stance with him.
Then I do not mind either...
His lips came with her's, and he felt like he was home. He felt the world fall around him, everything melt away. His hand came up from her shoulder, to pull away a stray orange lock. As he brushed it aside, he felt the softness of her cheek. His thumb came back to caress the smooth plain.

Jula stood with Xleck, her arms now wrapped around his neck. She slid one hand to the back of his head where she stroked his hair softly. She gently pushed her face to his in a long and passionate kiss. She never wanted it to stop. She realized that she couldn't breath and she pulled back slighty and took a breath then dove back in. She chest was heaving, her head tilted as she moved her lips across Xyleck's. 'I'm kissing him now....we're kissing....we're in love? I love him....I'm in love with Xyleck' She wondered, finding it hard to think about anything as they kissed.
She stumbled backwards slightly, her legs feeling weak. Her fingers trembled as she hung onto Xyleck. She pulled their bodies closer together as she tried to keep her balance by slightly leaning on him. Her knees felt as if they were about to buckle but Jula held onto Xyleck, not allowing the kiss to end....unless Xyleck wanted it to...

His mind was dead for a moment, just the image of them kissing stay there. And when she pulled back, then came forward again, he wrapped his lean arms around her waist. When she tumbled, he clung tighter, pulling her so close, it was an intamate feel. A feeling that they were as close as possible, yet it was a touch that made Xyleck want to be even closer...
He didn't speak. If he spoke, the kiss would end, nd the only way it would end is if there was something to break it...and he had high doubts of that. The forest was dark and cold, yet the sounds behind the wall of trees was idyllic, quiet. The moon glare down over them now, directly covering them in twilight. And there were no eyes watching.
ooc-srry, my parents grounded me from the computer for my 'messy' room. long story how i made the punishment shorter than a month...

((OOC: Geez. That's rough))
Dortujula held as tightly to him as he did to her. She also wanted to speak but didn't want the passion to end over a few words. Besides...she didn't know what to say. She couldn't tell him how petrified of silence she was. That would end it so akwardly.
She wanted to say that she felt as close to him as humanly possible but it would be a lie. There was something else. She didn't want to do anything drastic for fear of Xyleck not liking it or something. She still hardly knew him. But she had to say something first. She quickly tore away from him, at least her lips. She breathed so deeply, her chest heaving. She thought for a minute, almost forgetting what she was going to say. But...who could forget words like these: I love you... She managed to choke out in a breathless and choked voice. She could only hope that he felt the same way.

[ooc] Mwah ha ha...I know this site is over, but I want to end this thread and finish the story.
Her words hit him like a harsh bullet, but the pain seemed addictive. Her words repeated and spun in his head. Xyleck took a sharp breath, surprised, but not surprised. Was he surprised? His hand moved up, running his fingers through her hair. Thunder began to roll in the distance. Any other time, he would have rushed to see what it was...for he knew thunder did not shake the earth. But he needed to say something in return. He wanted her to know something, too. His lips parted, forming what he had wanted to say.
I love you.
But the words were drowned out by the slight rain and the warriors rushing into the castle. Knives clicked together, the walls shook...glass shattered. He had no choice. A sword sliced his arm, and he knew he had to try to defend his land, or die. Jula was smart. She could escape, right? Yet a bugging sensation leapt through him. What if she couldn't? When he looked to the side, she was gone. And he was in a different location of the palace.
He worked his way through the crowd, struggling to defend himself, his castle...Dortujula. But they kept coming and kept coming, and soon he was pushed into a corner, near a hole where a window once was. Hadn't he put one of the windows Jula made there? He felt grieved it had broke.
Turning, he fled the scene, slipping through the box hole and into the bushes. He didn't dare call for his love, afraid attention would be drawn to the fact there was someone else there. Instead, he ran off...afraid that Jula did not make it out. Afraid he would not see her again.
He would come back later with Rayvah incase there were soldiers left over. Until then, he would flee and find her, then wait to return...
