Xyleck stepped through thick vines and thorns into the clearing, the majestic palace towering over the tree tops. He put his fists on his hips, smiling at his work. He sighed.
Head turned to the forest, checking if they had come. He walked to the entrance, leaning against the stone walls. He would wait a little for their arrival.

Dortujula leapt over the bushes, vines, and thorns till she reached the palace. It was huge and very pleasing to Jula. She swished her cat tail once or twice before walking up to Xyleck. She still did not know his name. She leaned forward, sniffed him akwardly and then smiled. Hm...How rude of you! You have not told me your name yet! It is a given that I should get one in return for telling you mine! She said teasingly. She grinned and her glowing cat eyes sparkled.

He turned at her, a side smile accross his lips played along.
Are you sure you really want to know it?
He walked inside, a smell of oak and cherry greeted his nadars, the fresh scent of pine needles and a cracking fire. A few chairs ancd couches draped with deer hides sat around the fire, a stove was set in a corner for cooking.
I have not yet gotten to extravagance, but I think it is a good start, considering I am the only one who worked on it, and it was built in four weeks.
He stepped to the stove, a bubbling stew had rabbit meat and fish inside...not the best concoction, but it was what he had. He poured two bowls, offering her oen, he sat in a large chair draped in heavey furse and hides. He sipped the soup, then looked at her.
It is Xyleck.

She grinned and took the soup gratefully. Fish and rabbit. Being a cat demon and all, that was the perfect meal. She stuck her tongue in, not able to slurp up much since she had a human tongue instead of a cat's. She looked up, mildly embarassed but not really. She tilted the bowl so that the soup poured into her mouth. Ah, yes! Now I have something to call you by, my friend! She said and gulped. The soup was great.
Her cat eyes darted from wall to wall. It was nice. She could get used to this place...that is...if she were to stay...

He took a bone spoon from the table next to him, using it to eat. He did not mind how she ate. His gaze went to the fire in the center of the floor. The flames danced elegantly, at their own pace. The glowing embers captivated him for a moment, then he looked over to the girl beside him.
I suppose you do.
He smiled at her. He finished his bowl, setting it to the side.
Tell me where you reside.
He weaved his fingers together, sitting back in the wicker chair. The room was silent, save the cracking of the fire.

In the vines where no one could see or sense her resided Serena, for some reason she was drawn to the elf boy, for that she did not know why. She was content to watch him but knew she would probably be excluded from the conversation so she watched, and smelled the flower given to her from him though she knew it ment nothing from him she just liked having something he had touched.

Jula popped a small rabbit bone into her mouth and played with it with her tongue. She looked at him. She knew she liked him... Nowhere....bushes...deserted valleys...anywhere I can stay without being seen... She told him, being truthful which surprised her. Usually it would be wise to lie about your whereabouts or anything about you- your name, age...anything like that. But Jula was telling him the truth...and not really minding. So what if he tracked her down to kill her...besides...he didn't seem like the kind of guy that would do such a thing but you never know...

He heard something outside, he hadn't melted glass yet, so the windows were just holes. He got up, stepping from the door, her peered towards the bushes. He sensed the elven girl. Arms crossed, he leaned against the door frame.
The door is open, if you wish to come inside.
He looked at the door, then his feet.

((Bye!!))
-As Dortujula-
Dortujula's ears flicked towards the door, awaiting the elven girl. She too, could smell her. She turned to Xyleck. He was tricky...and...what's the word for it? He was mysterious. Someone, she knew, would always leave you guessing. She liked that. She walked up to him and leaned against the wall next to him, her tails making a soft swishing noise against the wall. I want to stay here...with you...at least for awhile. She said, more of a statement than a question.

Her pupils quivered as she stared intently at him and awaited him to either reject her or accept her. She wanted to stay with him and fight by his side...maybe more...she wondered if he felt the same way or completely different. Her ears twitched again, along with her human nose. She turned to the door. The elf had not yet come. What was taking her? What she nervous? Afraid? Shy? Did she like Xyleck? 'So what if she does!! It's not like I like him or anything....' She told herself but was not so easily convinced.

ooc-sorry I've been gone...my computer got a virus that night...but it is gone now!
He didn't look at Dortujula. His lips just started moving as his voice came out.
Stay as long as you wish. I do not mind your company.
Finally, his cran turned towards her's as he finished his statement. Then he spoke out again.
Is the lady shy? Am I frightening?
He teased a bit, then was calm.
The night is getting darker, and the air colder. Come inside.
It was more an order than anything, but he did not mind the cold either. His skin was used to it...thrived really. Yet, he knew the maiden may not be like him...hardly anyone was.
ooc-srry its bad...it'll take a bit to catch my muse again.

((No, it's fine! I understand!!! It's good to have you back!))
Jula looked away from him. How long would she stay if she was to stay here? Where would she sleep? Did he have a bed for her? If he didn't he would have said no, right?
She pushed herself off the wall and turned to face the window. A cool breeze tingled her skin. Goosebumps appeared on her arms and Jula gently rubbed her hands over her arms to warm them. Her ears pricked backwards as the fire crackled. Though the fire was big and warm, she felt cold all over. I suppose she is just shy. She said quietly as her glowing gaze turned downward. She glanced at Xyleck from the corner of her eye.

He waited a few moments more, leaving the door open a crack as he went inside. She could come in if she wanted, but he wasn't going to wait outside. As if he read her mind he spoke up.
I have extra beds. A few rooms as well.
His palm went out, showing her a dim hall with several doors lining the walls.
Take your pick.
He turned to the fire, sitting again back in his fur lined chair. His hands went to work, putting sand in a cauldren, in the flames. he put a bit of coal and water, letting it sizzle. He might as well work on the glass for the windows. It was a peaceful night, and though he was exhausted from the past weeks, he liked work, he enjoyed becoming tired. A weird high, but it was his. His high.
